In 1727, Benjamin Franklin gathered a small group of tradesmen, thinkers, tinkerers, and professional arguers in Philadelphia. They called it the Junto — a club built around curiosity, useful knowledge, spirited debate, and the radical idea that a few interesting people in a room could make each other smarter. Nearly 300 years later, we’ve decided the club could use another meeting.

We like rare coins. We like strange details. We like good arguments. And we especially like things you can hold in your hand that were here before any of us were.
