Who we are

The Junto Club (juntoclubco.com) is a free, ad-free reference site about United States coins. This policy explains what limited information the site handles when you visit or contact us.

What we collect, and why

1. If you join the mailing list. The homepage has one optional sign-up form. If you choose to submit it, we collect the name, email address, and — if you provide it — phone number you type in. We use these only to contact you with Junto Club updates. The form is submitted to and stored by Netlify Forms (Netlify is our hosting provider; see "Service providers" below); the site owner can view the submissions. We do not buy contact information or add you to this list unless you submit the form yourself.

2. Standard server logs. The site is hosted by Netlify. Like any web host, Netlify automatically records standard request information (such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested) to serve the site and keep it secure. We do not combine this with any other data to identify you.

We do not: run any analytics or tracking scripts; set any cookies from this site's own code; sell, rent, or trade your information; or build advertising profiles. (Verified: the site sets no first-party cookies and loads no analytics or tracking scripts.)

Cookies and third-party embeds

This site's own code sets no cookies. Some pages include content served by third parties, which you should be aware of:

• YouTube videos and their thumbnails. Pages that carry a history video use YouTube, which involves Google in two separate ways:
  • On page load — before you click anything. A coin page that has a video requests a still-image thumbnail from Google's image server (i.ytimg.com) as soon as the page opens. This request discloses your IP address and browser (user-agent) to Google even if you never press play. The homepage requests video thumbnails from that same Google server the same way.
  • The video player. The player is served from the reduced-tracking domain youtube-nocookie.com on every page — coin pages, written history pages, and the homepage. On coin pages and the homepage it loads only after you click play; on the written history pages it is embedded in the article and loads as you scroll to it. When the player loads, Google may set cookies and receive data about your visit under its own privacy policy.
• Google Fonts. The homepage and the written history pages load fonts from Google (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com); Google receives your IP address to serve them. Individual coin pages do not load Google Fonts.

These third parties act under their own privacy policies, which we do not control.

eBay listing data

Coin pages may show an "Ask" price range for a specific coin at a specific grade. These figures are aggregated from public, active eBay listings and describe what sellers are asking. They are not tied to any buyer or seller: we store only a price, a listing date, and the coin grade, and we do not collect, store, or derive any eBay username, seller identity, or buyer identity. No information about you as a visitor is sent to eBay by this site.

Service providers

• Netlify — hosting and form handling (mailing-list submissions and server logs).
• Google / YouTube — video embeds, thumbnail images, and web fonts, as described above.

We share your information only with these providers to the extent needed for the functions above, or if required by law. We do not otherwise disclose it.

Your choices and deletion

To have your email address (and any name/phone you submitted) removed from our mailing list, email info@juntoclubco.com and we will delete it. You can also unsubscribe from any message we send.

Children

The site is a general-audience coin reference and is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above.
