History
Proof striking (MORGAN ZERBE). Proofs were struck for collectors and sold separately from circulating coinage; this is a distinct coin from the 1921 Morgan Dollar. Mintage from the source: "Therefore, as a personal favor to the influential numismatist, the Mint struck somewhere between 20 and 200 coins for Zerbe, which he then distributed.".
