History

REAL coin, mintage unrecorded. NGC lists "1849 O 25C MS" and calls it one of the rarest dates in the series, but its own descriptive text states: "There is no official record of its mintage, but Walter Breen believed that it was included in the first 1850 delivery of 16,000 pieces." The 412,000 in NGC's mintage FIELD contradicts that text and is not used. This card previously did not exist at all, having been ruled never-struck.

The Junto Brief
