History
Dual-dated “1776–2026” Semiquincentennial issue. The Jefferson nickel keeps its regular design (no one-year commemorative motif) and is struck for circulation; the San Francisco proof is standard copper-nickel (the nickel is not struck in silver, even in the Silver Proof Set).
